Letter N key does not work.

Hi

On my iMac OS 10.3 when I use the N key in a WP or to type in an URL it just won't register. I bought another keyboard and that didn't help.

So I took the keyboard from my other iMac and plugged it in and still nothing.

I then plugged the first iMac's keyboard and the newer keyboard into my second iMac and all the keyboards worked with the letter N.

So I'm thinking that somehow there is something wrong with my first iMac, rather than the keyboard.

Does anyone have any suggestions how I can rectify this N problem?

You sure you haven't assigned any tool to pressing the "N" key, like something in Text to Speech in System Prefs, Speech, Text to Speech..?

Nothing assigned anywhere, I use it for my writings and internet search, so it's all pretty simple and straight forward.

Same Problem

Same problem -- periodically the n key will just stop working -- later comes back on as mysteriously as it stopped.

Drives me CRAZY!!!!
