iOS Letters on side of table view

I'm working on one of my first apps that has a large amount of data in a drilldown table view.

I'm looking for a tutorial but I'm not sure what the item is called.

I'm trying to make an easy way to sort my alphabetized data. I want it to operate in the same way that artists are sorted in the music player with the A-Z letters on the right side of the screen. I have no idea what to search for when looking for sample code. What would this element of the code be called?
