I have a Level Bolt (1st gen) lock on my front door. My home hub is a HomePod located 25-30 feet away, around a corner.

The Lock routinely shows up as non responding on HomeKit, making it effectively useless there.

Yet if I operate the Lock manually, I get an almost instantaneous HomeKit notification that I have locked or unlocked the door. So obviously the lock’s state is transmitted somehow.

My question is: if the lock’s state can be transmitted why can’t the open/close commands also be transmitted/received?

I sold the stereo HomePods I was using as TV speakers (also right next to my router). I think they were causing crazy wireless interference, because since they've been gone I haven't had any more issues. But in that time I've also upgraded to iOS 16, which seems much more stable than iOS 15.
