So my Lexmark X5495 all in one printer has been printing just fine. But I've noticed I can't scan. Image Capture doesn't see the scanner, the printer and scanner system preferences doesn't think it's a scanner, Preview doesn't see it, etc. I'm using Yosemite 10.10.5.
I've ensured the drivers are updated, it's V11.2 which I've double checked is the latest. I've reset the printing system, repaired disk permissions, deleted and re-installed the printer. I've done everything I can think of. I've scoured the internet for hours, to no avail. I've also checked for any system updates. I'm fed up of this.
Has anyone had a similar issue, or know how to fix this? Lexmark tech support won't speak to me because the printer is over 12 months old, and my apple phone support has ended. I could take it to the genius bar I suppose, but I don't fancy lugging the printer along!
