if I connect my lexmark Z65 directly through usb, the computer recognizes it and says its kind is a lexmark Z65, great, it prints fine, but heres the problem, when trying to print to it throught my network, (its connected to my dads PC through usb) its just refuses to work. I go through the steps and find my workgroup, and then select the printer, but there isn't a lexmark Z65 driver, I don't get this because through usb it finds the right driver. I've tried similar drivers, but when I print something the printer sucks the paper down and makes wierd noises. Is there any way to get around this without buying a usb-to-etho adapter?

You have to use a Post Script drive to get it to work or use Bonjour. Even then postscript drives work better.
