So I'm in the market for a 27" 2560x1440 monitor but I would rather not spend $700-900. I've heard good things about the QNIX QX2710 monitor but it says to only use directly with a dual DVI cable and not with hdmi or other adapters. Does this mean it wouldn't work with a dvi to hunderbolt or minidisplay port? Can anyone recommend a monitor that would work with mac inputs and is in the $300-400 range?
Thanks

Dual DVI will not work with HDMI or "other adapters" with the exception of the MDP to Dual DVI adapter that costs anywhere from $60-100. The worst part about it, is that it seems to be hit or miss that that adapter even works with the cheap Korean models. So, now you MIGHT get to use your $400 monitor ($329+$70 adapter), but you would be better off just buying a Korean knock off with MDP. However, by the time you pay the extra $100 for the cheap Korean Knock off you start getting into the price range of the Acer and while I tend to think Acer monitors are fairly cheap and lower quality at least you can feel more comforter about their end user support....

Just my .02 worth.
