Old eyes.. need similar to apple display quality for long hours - e-mail, small xcel sheds, short word docs, google maps / earth, adobe pdf's and light photoshop / lightroom...

More than a hundred 27" Philips displays in my area at work. Users are pleased.

Occasional/rare audible squeals with DisplayPort connections to some HP desktops running Windows 7, but I reckon that's not an issue with the Philips gear. Workaround: switch off the display.

If you're interested, I'll get the Philips reference for the model.
