I want to find a nice 27" 4k monitor that my 2015 Macbook Pros (one is early 2015, one is late 2015) can drive at 60hz. I know the 27UD88 is a popular monitor with the newer USB-C macbooks. Does anybody know if you can also get 4k/60Hz via thunderbolt2->displayport on a slightly older machine?

I bought a Dell that met my specs but it had a manufacturing issue and I needed to return it. Trying to explain to the Dell tech what thunderbolt2 is made me want to pull my hair out. Would prefer to try another brand (such as this LG) if it will work. Other recommendations are welcomed too.

Thanks!
