Is anyone able to tell me if I would be able to connect 2 LG 34UM95 ultra wide monitors to a Mid 2012 Retina MacBook Pro (I7 2.7 GHZ / 16GB / 768GB SSD / GT650M graphics) (or if there will be any issues connecting one for that matter). Have a monitor on order - released here in Australia around 25th April.

apparently it will work if:

you can do 2 if each is running at 50 hz
you can do 1 at 60 hz if you do picture in picture mode

I recently set up my rMBP (Mid 2012) with the LG 34UM95 and had some questions based on observations I made.

1) Display isn't recognized when (Apple-made) Thunderbolt cable is plugged into first TB port (closest to MagSafe). Only works on 2nd port, closer to trackpad.
2) rMBP fans kick in when display is attached, even if nothing is running. Anybody noticing this? Hearing the fans is quite annoying..
