LG 5K flickering

Does anyone else have a 5k that flickers under load constantly. It has nothing to do with wireless or any of the other shielding issues. This monitor was sent back specifically to fix that issue. It only happens after a couple of hours under load and seems to be triggered faster if I am set to "scaled - more" space. A strange behavior is that i can run a virtual machine in parallels full screen at 3200x1800 and swap the spaces back and forth and macos will flicker but the virtual machine will not. This has been happening on my 2016 pro and now my 2018 pro. It seems that the graphic chips just can't drive a full 5k resolution
