Hi,
I recently purchased an Elgato Thunderbolt 3 dock for my Mackbook Pro 2018 model. I connected my LG 5K to the Elgato Dock (through USB-C Thunderbolt 3 port for display) and have my Macbook 15 connected with the USB-C PD port on Elgato. All works fine: LG display works, Macbook is charged, network connects UTP and all USB-A connections just work fine.
So far so good
.
The problem is that 9 out of 10 times my Macbook does not wake up from sleep mode. It just seems to be dead. I need to hard power off and power on (with the on/off button) to bring it to life again. This problem does not occur if I use the Macbook on it's internal display and disconnected from the Elgato dock.
Does anyone else recognise this problem and is there a solution?
Thanks in advance for your time!
Best regards, Richard
