Just picked up one of these from Amazon, they cost approx £90 or 110
It's a well made and solid external box with an attractive front plate that
matches iMacs/MBP's etc well.
Comes with an external PSU/USB3.0 cable (A to B type) and has an on/off switch too.
I tested it out by burning 2 x Blueray disks with just over 20Gb of data on each.
They both completed in just under 6 minutes each - pretty fast and taking advantage of
my Inateck 4004 USB3.0 card in my Mac Pro with no issues.
Writing averaged 4-5x speed with the BD verbatim media
That backup would have taken 9 x DVD's or over 40 x CDR's to save and taken many
times longer !
It will be really useful for backing up and storing data that I don't need sitting on drives
in my work place, giving me space for new projects and data.
Seems like a really good product, recommended.
