As far as I know, the conventional wisdom is to stay away from 42” OLED because macOS will default to 10-bit 4:2:0 (which is of course unacceptable) and you’re in for a world of tinkering to make 4:4:4 work.
Is this still the case or has the situation improvement? I’m really jonesing for a new monitor and am sick and tired of waiting for the Pro Display XDR successor. 27” is too small for me.
