LG CX OLED and M1 Pro HDMI audio issues

Hi,

Has anybody else encountered the hdmi audio issue when plugging an M1 Mac into an LG CX. Picture works fine but the audio is completely scrambled and stuttering. Tried a few different hdmi cables but no luck. I read somewhere that a proper HDMI to usb c cable could work but wanted to ask on here first.
