LG Dare - MacBook - sending files with bluetooth?

Hey not sure if this is the right section but I am looking for some help with my cell phone and macbook. I have been trying to send my mp3's to my lg Dare using the send file option through bluetooth. This successfully sends the mp3 to my phone, but as a sound file and not a music file. Is there a way to send it as a music file? or once it is on the phone change it?

or is there even a better way to get the files onto my phone? when I plugged it in the usb port it didnt seem to recognize it.

same problem here with the same phone. i just recently converted to a macbook, but when i used my hp, i had no problems. i basically use my dare as an iphone (though lets not start any debates) so any help would also be appreciated here.

for the time being... I have just attached the dare to my girls pc and used it as the usb mass storage, then just dragged the files from the "my sounds" folder to the "my music" folder... it works but there has to be a better way
