LG just announced they have developed a new OLED process. It is 100 lumens per watt which is the same efficiency as LED (backlights for LCD) and a 50% over current OLED. It is supposed to be available in Nov. This would make daylight viewing much better and add battery life (rumored to be Apple's big aWatch problem). I wonder if the aWatch will use this as the panel source?
A related side question: I wonder if the 42mm will have a longer batt life than the 38mm? The larger panel will require more power but the added space could be packed with a larger batt. Sort of like the way the 6 Plus has longer batt life than the 6.
