Does anyone know, or have a good source of, how to properly set up an LG 4K monitor (27UK500-B, manual here)? I'm not doing anything that would require the kind of precise calibration done with a third-party monitor calibration tool.
The monitor itself has all sorts of screwy settings and I haven't found a good explanation of what those settings actually do. The manual is vague.
Also, the System Settings/Displays "Display Calibrator Assistant" in "Expert Mode" seems to be exactly the same as it was when CRT monitors were the norm. The first two instructions, setting the contrast to the highest setting and then the brightness according to the oval, seem to me to be ridiculous.
Thanks in advance!
