Hi all,

I'm interested in getting an LG MX Mechanical Mini and was wondering if people could share their thoughts on this keyboard?

I do have a Mac Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and love that but I'm just looking for a change sometimes...

Thanks in advance!!

I have been using this keyboard for almost a year, and it's great. I got the silent brown switches, and they have grown on me. I am used to linear switches for gaming keyboards. However, I like that it is quieter and has that silent click, I guess you could say. The keyboard shortcuts for search and emojis are great as well. Battery life is fantastic. I don't think I have charged this keyboard more than ten times since I bought it. The Logitech software is excellent as well.

I also got a keyboard from keychron. It's good, and I think better built than the Logitech; however, Logitech has better software and battery life. It's worth it, to be honest.

Hi Thanks for your feedback.
Which one did you get the Mini or standard size, and did you get the mac versions?

I have been using the Mech Mini since release. It's good at giving you a combo of mechanical and being fairly quiet. I also like the Bolt dongle. Not a fan of Bluetooth. I use it to switch between my Mac and Windows machines, for which it is good. Easy switch, both layouts supported, etc.

But there are some downsides that are pretty bad for the price. Build quality. The keys are wobbly which makes for a weird typing sensation and they get shiny from use fast. Lack of part support. Logi will replace the keyboard while under warranty. But once the warranty is over, there are not parts you can buy. Not even replacement keycaps. Finally, and you may not even care, Logi replaced the IMHO useful monitor brightness buttons with IMHO useless emoji and screenshot buttons.

I also have the same keyboard. I only have two gripes with this keyboard.

1) No touch-ID
I mean, it's quite normal not to have it but it's convenient af. I always find myself tapping on the corner button of the device.
2) F1 - F2 - F3 buttons are hard dedicated to bluetooth connectivity.
Means you cannot adjust the brightness of your screen or use the show desktop shortcut. To be fair apart from volume adjustment, those three shortcuts are the only necessary shortcuts and they're occupied with Bluetooth switcher. most of the time I find myself accidentally switching to third bluetooth as I'm trying to check on my desktop.

Other than that, I do have the brown switched Mac version. But I'm using it mostly with my windows machine lolol. I'd say go for the Touch ID Magic Keyboard instead for the similar amount of money. It's much convenient to carry it around and Touch ID is a bliss.
