I am being gifted, from a very generous friend who is upgrading monitors for his gaming rig, two LG 32" QHD monitors (model 32GN600-B.Aus) that he'd purchased from WalMart a while back. Seems to be a budget 32" monitor that has mostly good reviews, but not finding much about that particular monitor and its use with a Mac.

I've read numerous threads on here about 32" 1440p sometimes looking like garbage on a Mac (especially text) but I can't imagine it will be any worse than my current 27" 1080p . . . will it? What I have currently is "perfectly suitable" for my needs, though I know that the text appears a little grainy at times and I'm not taking advantage of what the Mac is capable of.

Any recommendations for making the most of these monitors so that I enjoy the larger size without being irritated about text sharpness, etc.? My system is used more for occasional work-from-home and general browsing, some video, etc., but I want to make the most out of this gift.

Any suggestions or recommendations would be much appreciated!

If you are fine with your 27" 1080p display, the 32" 1440p displays will be an upgrade. Text should look a little nicer to you than you are currently used to due to the new monitors having 91 pixels per inch compared to 81 pixels per inch on your current monitor.

2 32" screens is a lot of screen real estate. If you want to use both, you might need to think carefully about where you put each one. At normal viewing distance, I can look at one 32" screen in front of me without moving my head much. Adding a second would mean a lot of head turning, swiveling, etc.

Enjoy your gift.
