LG Shine and Mac?

Ok, after fixing a problem I can succesfully connect my lg shine as a mass storage device, my manual says add music to the music folder, and play it. BUt, for some odd reason it will not play, my LG shine boots up I enter music player and the phone crashes.

Is it Mac OSX, or me?
