I tired all the possible workarounds i could find online: Reset monitor, power cycle monitor, change usb-c cable, various order to connect, reset mac nvram, etc. but still unable to get it working on both iMac 2017(12.5) and MacBook Pro 2019(12.5.1)

Need helps, any workarounds? Call LG supports? It looks to me this is a known compatible issues with Mac.

Thank you!

I have two of these monitors and they work fine on USB-C with a 2017 MacBook and M1 Mac mini.
Are you using the cable that came with the monitor? I find some cables do not support thunderbolt or DP alt mode.

Just tried a brand new Apple Thunderbolt 3 cable, and still not working, looks like i need to call LG tomorrow.

Does the display work with other computers? Are you certain it's not just your specific display having a malfunction (and not a Mac-specific issue)?

Thank you guys, I figure it out, the USB-C port is broken😅 The replacement unit arrived today and works fine.

One thing to mention, the new panel with MFG Date of 06/2022 works faster than my old one whth MFG Date of 05/2021. The OSD is very responsive, and a new Accessibility mode, new UI toggle look and feel.
