Just got the boss with a brand new M1 MBA and the Ultrafine 5k. On all zoom / google meet calls, his mic volume is really, really low. I remote controlled his computer and verified that the 5k mic / camera is selected as the active and not the MBA (which is in clamshell).

Any ideas? I asked him to double check there was no protective plastic on the mic / camera and he said no.

If you have connection then on affect Mac open System Preferences->Sound pane and check the input level!
It's all the way up. Applying 11.2 update and installing LG screen manager to check for firmware and then will report back...

also check the preferences of that app! I say this because throw out Mac OS X and Mac OS it was up to developer that controlled every the sound within their app! To see if the program has it’s own sounds settings!

It's not that either. Every software setting is correct. The only temporary solution is to open the laptop and use that mic. there is definitely something wrong with this unit.
