I have an LG 4K Ultrafine on order, and just found it on the LG website:
http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-22MD4K-4k-uhd-led-monitor
Once you dig through the marketing jargon and get down to the tech specs:
- Screen Size 21.5" Flat
- Panel Type IPS
- Color Gamut (CIE 1931) DCI-P3 99%
- Color Depth (Number of Colors) 8bits, 16.7M
- Pixel Pitch (mm) 0.11622 mm × 0.11622 mm
- Response Time 12ms / 14ms GTG
- Refresh Rate H-Frequency: 88~143kHz V-Frequency: 48~60Hz
- Aspect Ratio 16:9
- Resolution 4096 x 2304
- Brightness 500 nits
- Contrast Ratio 1200:1
- Viewing Angle 178 / 178
- Surface Treatment Anti-glare, 2H
Now this is mostly just what Apple quoted during their presentation. However, one thing caught my eye.
12ms / 14ms GTG response time!
All other high end IPS monitors i've seen have been in the region of 4-6ms.
An example: LG 27UD88-W 5ms. http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-27UD88-W-4k-uhd-led-monitor
Won't that make the whole thing a blurry mess when there's lots of movement on screen (like when scrolling)? Anyone care to share their experience with it and comment on whether it's a problem or not?
Thanks
