Hi,

Just wondering if those of you who have this monitor also run into the issue that as soon as the screen goes into power saving mode it turns off the builtin USB hub? In my case that leads to an external disk being disconnected and the computer complaining when I wake the screen up again - and of course trouble with the application that requires that disk to be present - but that's another story. ;)

In my setup the Mac is connected to the hub via the LG supplied USB-C cable and the disk is hooked up in the monitor's upper USB-A port - the one labeled to carry extra power.

Can't find any settings in the OSD related to the hub - is there a way to keep it running even when the display sleeps?

It’s called Deep Sleep mode on my LG monitor, turn it off to keep the USB active.

Hey thanks. However I just noticed it is already off on mine, Automatic Standby is also off and Smart Energy Saving set to low.

The only power management setting I have activated is on the Mac side to turn off the screen after a set amount of time. I even keep the computer from taking naps with caffeinate -i most of the time.
