By now, many people have seen the LG watch custom made for Audi, that supposedly integrates with their cars and your phone:

It even looks pretty good on a wrist:

But AndroidCentral also noticed that it's running WebOS, which LG bought the rights to (and uses in their smart TVs).

As a WebOS fan, I like this idea a lot!

I'll be honest, I was surprised. Makes you wonder if LG will do a smartphone with webOS on it...

If it makes it universal for iOS and android then all good. I won't be buying any wearable this year unless it can sync with more than 1 type of device - I swap devices too many times to be saddled with a device tied to one OS.

Though I'm really determined to cut down on the device swapping (;)) and thus am a bit more likely to stick with a single platform, I echo your sentiments about desire for a universally compatible smart watch. And IMO, this design is quite beautiful and right in my wheelhouse--this and the Kairos designs are my personal favorites so far.

Looks a lot better than their previous watches but prefer Android since I already have a workflow established for easily handling voice, SMS, email, etc. across different devices over LTE or WIFI. Noticed it has baseband firmware so it'll be stand-alone like the Gear S.
