I recently started getting this error a lot in Console. I am using the Lion GM and iTunes 10.5 beta 3.

Since these started popping up, I've been having some issues with iTunes. Certain video files will refuse to play (played fine with iTunes in Snow Leopard) giving me an error: "This movie requires QuickTime, which is not supported by this version of iTunes." iTunes also intermittently refuses to add files entirely.

Just to add, I get the librarian connection error for Mail and other apps too. Anyone have any idea what is going on? I was going to just make a new iTunes library (delete the library file and start fresh with my media), but then I saw the error message for other apps too, leading me to believe that this may be a bigger issue than I'd thought.

You can get rid of the iTunes error by running it in 32-bit mode (it should be an option if you get info on Applications:iTunes.app). I would guess that it has something to do with Perian running in 32-bit mode.
