iPod Library songs not going on ipod?

So I have about 1048 songs on my library and only about 20 aren't checked. I looked on my ipod and it said i only had 938. WHy dont i have all my songs on there?

What are your sync settings for the iPod? Do the tracks that haven't synced play in iTunes?

Some of them may be non mp3 format, like maybe .mov files.

I had the same problem (and still do, too lazy to resave files. )

I go with MP3 because it's arguably more universal.
