I am going to be moving the boot SSD from my old Mac to a new one. It currently has a fairly clean Snow Leopard installation on it as well as an old version of iLife and my apps.

While I will be given a new Snow Leopard/iLife install on the new machine, is the License supposed to stay with the machine it was originally installed on?

The reason I need to know is that while it would be convenient just to move the drive without re-installation of Snow Leopard etc., I intend to on-sell the old Mac once I have fitted its original HDD back into it. If this will cause License problems for either the new owner (or myself on my new Mac) down the line, I would like to find out now so I can plan my migration.

Thanks.

Apple doesn't implement any license verification. That computer won't know or care where the installation came from. You're good to go.
