Lifeproof and 3rd party connectors/adaptors

Has anyone with an IP 5 and a Lifeproof case tried lightning adapters, either OEM or others? This was a real issue with the 4S case. Specifically, will the 30 pin-lightning adapter fit in the new Lifeproof?

more important issue is that the lifeproof cases are crap.

The OEM cable adapter fits fine. The knock off cable ones I got fit fine. The Apple non cable one will not work.
