Not sure when they put these pics up of the lifeproof case for IP5, but probably sometime today.

Thoughts on the case design?

I loved my iPhone 4 LifeProof Case, so I will definitely be getting this one for my 5.

they do take a long time to release their products dont they?

I saw somewhere where they said on twitter it would be in the 4th quarter, but doesn't 4th quarter start in a week?

----------

Does this case have a extra glas on the front? Cant see any.

I believe they all do. They claim its dust proof, and without the extra glass it would get into the headpiece speaker opening.

Like, even if you take the phone for a swim - you're still worried that something isnt right. I will always be like that. But I might just get the case cause when you're having the phone outside when its raining (in your pocket or something) you can always be DOUBLE-sure that its beyond harm.

Besides - it looks really grippy , looks good. The design is nice aswell.

For what reasons will you buy this case guys?

And how much do you think it will cost?

This looks very nice. I am looking forward to picking one of these up. I hope they learned from the issues with the 4/4S versions at the beginning.

I will definitely be purchasing this case if the reviews come back super positive.

Same here. Regardless of the protection it offer, I think it looks great too.

Only thing that worries me is the screen protector. Wasn't it a bit of a problem with the iPhone 4? Made it a little unresponsive or something?

The issues with its predecessors is that you need to hold down with your thumb so hard it almost cracks the screen for the touch to work. Now thats the only problem I can see before buying this case. But ill wait and see.

My guess is it will be $60-75

Do you want them to release a turd? The case is waterproof etc. Lots of testing involved and not just a quick design. Not posting this to be mean, it's a product that if not designed correctly, will destroy an expensive phone. I like the commitment to perfection.

On a side note, I ordered a Commuter to tide me over until this is released. I cannot wait.

i dont expect them to release a turd
i expect them to be able to release it quicker since the technology is pretty much the same. only difference is just the dimensions, not some new ground up design. they have already gone past that phase of getting the right materials and tech to get this water proof.

all im expecting is them to tweak the internal dimensions to be able to fit the iphone 5 plus maybe some design tweaks, some cuts some grooves here and there. not wait till mid life cycle for the case to be released.

lifeproof nuud sure took a long long time.

Are lifeproof cases worth the $80? The iphone 5 case design looks amazing... how is the touch responsiveness though? Are there bubbles on the screen?

This is going to be my first iPhone when I upgrade in around a month, and this case is intriguing.

Yes they are worth it along with otterbox cases and touch responsiveness is unchanged
