lifespan of MB battery

i just recently purchased my MB and okay i'm really a noob at this. does it require like any first time charge or something? i'm not sure if this works the same way as our mobile batteries and stuff. but afterall, they're all batteries.

so i did not do a first time charge, and i used it the first time till it nearly went flat and then, charged it as per normal. FULL (100%), then took it out.

how long will the battery last after each full charge? 3, 4 hours?

Mine's been lasting about 4 hours, with somewhat regular usage.

A full charge should last somewhere around 3 1/2 hours.

A full charge should last somewhere around 3 1/2 hours.

Mine gets atleast 4, with wireless on and full brightness. I can get upto 5 though, with everything down to lowest.
