Yesterday I did some maintenance things (update prebindings, etc.), including cleaning the font caches.
Now when I try to use a Persian font (chosen from my font list from the international pref panel) in TextEdit, all I get is a string of Persian letters. The system used to know which letters join together (and appropriate letter changes for that).
It seems to me (I may be mistaken here, but I think not) that I've also used Persian and Thai fonts in MS Word in the past, but now those fonts are grayed out in my font list (under the US flag on the menu bar) when Word is the active application.
Ideas?
Ideas where to ask?
Thanks.
