Light Emanating from Bottom of Blacked Out Fullscreen

When I play a game or have an application running a black-fullscreen image I can see faint blue light streaking up from the bottom of my screen. The bluish light fades away after about 1 1/2 inches, but is noticeable.

This is occurring on a 2-week-old base 13" 2011 MBP.

I take it this is normal and to be expected?

It's called backlight bleed and all screens have this to some extent but too much of it is definitely not normal. A bit hard to say if yours is problematic without seeing it in person or next to another one.
