When I ordered my Vision Pro, the Apple Store app did the scan and it arrived with a 33W light seal. From the first time I tried it on, I knew something wasn't quite right. I went back to the Apple Store app and went through the steps to order a new light seal, to see if it came up with the same measurement, and of course it did not. I was consistently getting a 21W. From my understanding, the first number is face shape, and the second is depth. My FOV was horrible and I couldn't focus on anything. I felt like I was just too far away from the screens. I went in today and was able to swap my light seals and cushions for the 21W. It is a massive improvement, but still left me wanting more, so I tried just removing the light seal altogether, and man, it is way better. The FOV is what it should be, and everything looks awesome. The thing I wasn't expecting is that you can see the real world with your actual peripheral vision, and it lines up perfectly with the pass through video. The effect is like wearing a pair of glasses, compared to wearing a giant ski mask. The obvious downside is that all the weight is resting squarely on your nose, and it is not comfortable for more than a couple minutes. My hope is that a third party creates a headset that would allow you to flip the Vision Pro up, and also have all the weight spread around your head. Sort of like the BoboVR headset for other devices. If they could work a battery clip in to the back of the headset, that would be great too.
Anyway, just wanted to share my experience for anyone that is struggling with their light seal size.
