For some reason, my 2011 15" Macbook Pro seems to have an ambient light sensor with cataracts. I hate to change the default brightness on any Apple device, but this is just ridiculous. To make it go to maximum brightness and turn off the keyboard backlight, I had to shine a laser into the sensor. Right now, the keyboard backlight refuses to turn off, and I've manually turned up the brightness. Anyone else have this problem?

Wait...you can't manually adjust your keyboard? F5 / F6 ???

I agree my ambient light sensor is not what it was on my 2010. I may try a reset to see if that fixes, but honestly I haven't missed it.
