I was watching some YouTube videos and when I changed the volume up/down I got this distinct grayish bar of uneven light across the screen. Obviously it’s something I need to take to an Apple store but I wanted to know who else has had this.

I need to make the issue more clear... I know what the volume on YouTube looks like. This is a distinct grey bar that shows up across the screen. I adjusted the brightness of my original screen shot to show you what is going on.

If you are referring to that bar at the very top it shows when you turn the volume up and down on some video applications now, the grey bit is just the full volume limit you can go through and the white bar shows how far along that grey bar you are. Its not an issue at all.

I’m not sure if OP is talking about that obvious stuff.

It’s hard to see on an LCD. Let me try and adjust this pic so you can see it better.

It’s software related. Your phone is fine.

Edit: The OP has a more obvious grey bar (what the arrows are pointing to) than what’s shown in my attached photo, but there is one in mine also and it only appears when the volume bar pops up. When the volume bar disappears, so does the grey bar.

Ah I see it now. That’s not normal indeed.
