ok so i'm looking for a DIY lighting gear -

the proper stuff can cost anything from expensive to rip off , so

what's stoping me buying a Studio Brolly and just adding my own light ? ie 100 watt bulb ? would this be total crap with the light

this is what the proper stuff should look like - price is £199 from jessops for the kit below or i can get the brolly for around £20 and add my own light

100w tungsten? May just need a bit more than that, especially if you're going to put a gel over it to balance it to something approximating daylight.

i'm 100% new to lighting so i think in light bulbs when it comes to brightness lol

but after checking up on a few websites i can see i'm gonna need more power on them bulbs
