I will be coming back from vacation to Boston/Salem area on Friday and need a cable. Anybody seen any in the area in stores like Target, Walmart, Radio Shack, etc? I assume the Apple store in Peabody has them, but was looking for something a little closer.

Try a Sprint store (or one of the other official carriers). I picked up 2 in a local Sprint store and they were 20% off if you bought 2 or more.
I would say to order online for pickup in store. But I see that they took away that capability. Must have happened recently, as that's how I got a couple of cables last week. In Chicago.
