I’m an owner of AirPods Pro - yes, they are great, especially on iOS 15 the switching between my devices works great. Spatial Audio on Apple TV etc.
BUT…at home I feel if I want to listen to the best quality I can (Lossless) have to use my Lightning EarPods. Comparing those to AirPods Pro Dolby Atmos songs the wired connection wins hands down. It’s amazing. Of course this is a limitation of Bluetooth but it’s rather disappointing altogether. Surely they could have invented some other codec to sound better over Bluetooth. AirPods now sound “meh”. Shame. Hi Res 24bit plays with EarPods amazingly well. Especially older tracks.
EDIT: apple removed the toggle for Lossless in iOS 15 beta 2 for HomePod/HomePod mini. It was really buggy in beta 1
