Lightning power/charge only "cheep" 2 pin cables?

Now we know all the $5 Lightning cables we ordered off Ebay will not come to fruition because of the dynamic pin selection/switching. What about making a power/charge only cable? Isn't pin 1 assigned for power only? If so why not make some 2 pin Lightning cables in the $5 price range to use for charging only.

Dosnt matter if it is or isn't. The fact remains that the phone and cable talk to each other and a request is sent for power. The pins in the phone remain dead until that call is made
