trying to get ready for the next iPhone has anyone purchased a lightening to 3.5 male cable?
I have aux in with my car stereo and want to still be able to use it when the new phone drops.
I purchased a cheap one from eBay which works for about a minute then it displays that it's an unsupported accessory.

The phone will come with an adapter. Use a standard aux cable with it. No need to overthink this.

Yes but I would keep that with my headphones
It just seemed easier to get a male rather than buy another female.

Yeah I understand that but getting a lightening to 3.5 male would remove the risk of losing a small adaptor. Which was the point in my question.

You could get an apple lighting to 3.5 mm female cable and a male to male 3.5 mm cable and hot glue them together so they cant separate. Then you have what you are looking for.

Just use an extra Apple adapter and leave it connected to the cable. It's not going to come off accidentally.

A quick look at Amazon shows no MFi certified lightning to male cables. And the non-certified ones they do have seem to have iffy to terrible reviews.

@zhenya is right - the genuine Apple adapters fit tightly and will not come off. That's the best route.

It is not MFi certified. I checked its UPC (shown on the Amazon page) on the Apple MFi check page, here.
