Hi
I have an ipad 2017. Can I use the Lightning to USB (for charging) to transfer data from Flash Drive to ipad using a USB A Plug to USB A Socket?
If not then I guess an Apple lightning connector to USB Adaptor would do the trick.
Whichever way works, presumably I'd be able to view & copy the contents of a flash drive on the ipad & also transfer data from the ipad to the flash drive. Yes?

I think you’ll need a dedicated app that can read external drives and write to them if needed. I think the RAVpower filehub might do what you want.

Hey, looks like a tasty bit of kit. Well over spec for what I was looking for but it seems so useful I might just get one.
Thanks

Well, the RAVpower filehub is all very well but it turns out that it won't charge ipads or iphones at all!
This is a serious deficiency since I've not seen it mentioned on the manufacturers blurb.
So, I think the ipad flash drives are the way to go.
