Another new ipad novice's question. I was looking at the lightning/usb flashdrive available & the specs & find they usually state how many videos, songs, photos may be stored BUT they also say that there is xx g for "office files".
The question is whether ALL of the storage can be used for "office files" of any type or is it really restricted to the stated 'xx' g for the files; meaning the rest of the storage is restricted to media? I also don't see "epub" as a 'supported' office file!
My intent is just to use a flashdrive just to transfer files from a pc to the ipad. I don't want or need to use 'icloud' for my 'mainframe' which makes the ipad just a glorified dumb terminal. Wifi may not be always available at the doctor's, dentist's, car dealer's office or anywhere I may be. And disruptions on the internet will occur.
