Lightroom 4 and Photoshop 6

Hey you all,

I'm wondering what are your thoughts on this issue.
I'm a wannabe photographer want to buy this iMac (below) to use it whit Lightroom 4 and Photoshop 6.

Imac 27" / 3,4 quad Core i7 / 16 GB SDRam / Sata 2TB + SSD 256 GB / Radeon HD 2 GB.

For the moment I have an Intel based PC (Win + OSX (Hackintosh)) i7 920 / 6 GB DDR3 1600MHz / GeForce GTX 260 /dual monitor and a couple of 7200rpm 1TB Sata drives.

As some of you suggested I waited for a few months now for the new iMac but do I really need a Retina display for working with photo's?

If I take a look at some CPU benchmarks I see huge speed gain between the i7 920 and the i7 2600.

So is there any other reason for me to wait for the next update or not.

Any advice is much appreciated.

I'm guessing you mean CS6 and not Photoshop 6?

I might wait around a month or so to see if we get some speed bumps in the iMacs before purchasing personally.

As per the Retina display, hundreds of thousands of photographers out there are working on their photography right now without them so I don't think it's a real necessity
