I purchased a standalone Lightroom 6 code through Amazon, and have been trying in vain to install it on 10.12.5. Initially I thought it was because I was running a beta build, so I've taken care of that, but I'm still experiencing the same issues.

After I've told Adobe Application Manager that I've bought a license, and once I've inserted the license code, the install manager freezes and won't proceed further. If I try telling it I want to install a trial, it lets me proceed to entering my system password - but it throws up an error immediately afterward:

The error summary file merely contains a hyperlink to Adobe's system requirements page, which is obviously useless.

I'm familiar with the issues that Adobe's installers have in Sierra, so I've tried this workaround from Adobe: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/install-creative-suite-mac-os-sierra.html

And this one from elsewhere: https://macriot.com/mcrt/?p=2761

Both, unfortunately, have been to no avail.

Anyone with experience in this area or have any suggestions?

Interesting because I'm running 10.12.5 and just recently installed LR 6 from DVD. Not a CC user. Maybe you can get Amazon to send a DVD to you and find the means to connect it to the MBP.
