Just updated my old app. I have to say, I like this one a lot better. It still offers the same functionality (same sounds, etc.), and adds optional background music. I just wish there were more colors, although since my favorite color is red, it's fine.

when giz. said it was tied to the new game, they meant that it (phonesaber/lightsaber unleashed) is being used as a (free) advertisement for their $10 game, "The Force Unleashed". If you click the link I posted above, it will take you directly to the page on the app store for Lightsaber Unleashed, where you can download it for free.

Initially, I couldn't find the phonesabre game but found the game under Star Wars Unleashed. It'll cost 9.99 to get. However, upon re-reading the article, it stated it'll be free. I jumped on the keyboard too quick. My bad!

I don't get it...? Why do people enjoy this app, it is the stupidest thing to come to the iPhone (and we've all seen the 175 flashlight apps). Why would anybody want to take their phone out of their pocket/holster and start swinging it around like a light saber? This is truly the definition of insanity, people trying to turn their lives into a late-70s box office hit.

Maybe you should avoid the threads that have the word "Lightsaber" in them. Some of us find these apps fun.
