Okay, so I'm trying to stick with my 3GB of RAM throughout the year, and to do that, I'm going to have to be as lightweight as possible with my apps. What apps do you guys recommend for me achieving this goal, preferably ones that ARE OPTIMIZED FOR OS X? and FREE?
Bean is the role model here. It may not be loaded with regular features, but it uses all the main Mac ones (font book, universal spell checker, etc.) that I love. Plus, even when I have more than five documents open, it hardly uses up 100MB of RAM! Try asking Word to do that
So, are there any apps that you guys know of like that? The big thing I'm looking for is a lightweight mail app, but anything else would be greatly appreciated.
