lightweight case for Macbook late 09

I am seeking some advice on a case for my Nov 09 Macbook. I was useing a black speck satin case for my macbook untill I was haveing issues with the screen tilting back slowly. I was told by a tech guy that the case adds allot more weight to the screen and it is why the screen falls back. I am getting a new display module on my macbook and wondering if there was a really lightweight way for me to keep the macbook from getting scratched. Thanks!
