It's been just over a year since Lik-Sang was shut down indefinitely.

I post this because I used to use that site so much. A life line for us Europeans. When they shut I was building up a little shopping cart of items too. I've searched all these other online shops and they don't have these items or charge way too much for them.
And that's what they were for. Good quality, cheap imports.

Thanks for my US DS and all the games guys.

All the big 3 chipped in to the sites eventual shut down...

I do remember the most venomous comments were aimed at Sony, at least around here, since they started the whole ball rolling and then MS and Nintendo decided to look the other way

A year though? Time flies

Sony!! WE WANT REGION FREE GAMING!!!

But we dont want anyone outside of region A buying from region B..

Thank goodness for Ebay

But yeah all the big Asian sites wont ship Sony products to Europe anymore. And yet it's quite alright to ship a Japanese or Asian version of a PS3 game to America and vice-versa, just not Europe ?

I think the Japanese companies Sony & Nintendo just hate Europe... ;)

Maddox summed it up-

they committed the mortal sin of selling Japanese PSPs to European gamers. Oh no! Not that!

Their VAT free, already imported, stock was ace for little trinkets too. Oh the number of keychains and video cables bought there :(

I wonder if this is something I should think about doing? I live in Asia and see games all the time that I could buy up and ship out to folks. Nothing too big but could maybe do for a bit to folks in need here on the boards...

Hmmm...

When I'm brave enough to jump on the modded Wii wagon again I'll have to drop you a message or 2 :p

Be careful if you do anything like that. Don't ship out PSP's.

Are there any other distributors like lik-sang? SingStar PS3 has been delayed in the United States indefinitely, would like to import from UK when it finally launches in December.

There's other sites out there that have imports like NCS, YesAsia, and PlayAsia...but nowhere near as large of a selection as Lik-Sang.

NCS was the one I've used (and I used YesAsia, but not for games). Lik-Sang was definitely a major resource, though. The sad thing is that people who have legitimate uses (wanting to play a foreign language game or one not available in their country, etc) get locked out alongside the pirates....

I really enjoyed Lik Sang. I bought my girlfriend a pink DS from there before the UK had colors. Too bad it's gone. I don't understand this whole region thing. When it comes to films all it does is force me to download films that I want to see but aren't coming to the UK. The industry is behind it's consumers. I hope this all comes around eventually.
