I ordered a 7 at midnight but now have changed my mind and want the Plus. My order date is now 2-3 weeks. Can I pick one up in store before then? Is it worth the trouble. I'm in socal so lots of stores.

Likelihood of getting 7 Plus in store before my order in mid Oct?

I would pay attention to the forums and soon they will have a tracker telling you what model are local in your area. There is a possibility you can catch one asap and make a reservation to go pick it up. Last year I found a 6s Plus a few days after release and was able to make a reservation to pick it up. So just stay up to date on the forums and you will soon see a tracker posted.
